Bride

It was an early California morning. Fog wrapped itself around the ground and through the trees. This morning, on the 28th of May 2016, was they day Justin and Lacey became engaged.

I could tell you about their past, nearly eight years as a couple and almost a lifetime of knowing each other. The little rugged, older boy down the street fell in love with the pig-tailed girl next door. Although at the tender age of eight and twelve, neither of them knew they would soon become husband and wife. Lets fast forward to the proposal.

On the 28th day of May, Hogsmead is where Justin would pop the question to Lacey. It was her birthday weekend and her love for Harry Potter is why Justin planned a trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios. The air was crisp that morning and Justin had the ring hidden deep down in his backpack as Lacey got ready. She put on her Gryffindor cardigan and scarf, and they were off.

The drive to the magical park was short, as the Hotel was around the corner. Excitement grew as Lacey was blissfully unaware that there would be more to come that morning. Upon arrival they went right to Hogsmead, her eyes were glistening with tears of happiness as the scene was straight from the books. They skipped passed Olivanders and the Owl Post, to the edge of the park in front of Hogwarts. There were little to no muggles around, as they splurged and got early admission.

As Lacey is trying to capture every little detail, she turns her back to Justin to take a picture of Hogwarts towering over them. The sky was gray and the fog was low, as she turned around there it was, the ring. The most beautiful ring and the words "will you marry me."

From there the two ran into Hogwarts and on the ride of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, the ride was filled with the couples' laughter and joy. The rest of the day was spent sipping on Butterbeers and in merriment.

After all the time, Always.
