Hi again to all my family and friends and hello to my soon to be family members! I wanted to write up a little something to help you get to know me before I get hitched to your wonderful son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, or cousin Alex. I was born and raised here in Medford, OR but my adventures have taken me all over the country and even into Central America! I have a lot of family here locally, but I also have loved ones from Colorado, Texas, and even New York! I have been passionate about teaching since I was in kindergarten, and grew up playing school and reading as many books as I could get my hands on! I graduated from Southern Oregon University last year with my Bachelor's degree in education, and I'm currently pursuing my Master's of Arts in Teaching with an ESOL endorsement (English for Speakers of Other Languages). I can't wait until I have my very own classroom of busy little bodies exploring and learning everything we can together! Until then, I'm working as the front desk supervisor of the TownePlace Suites by Marriott (a place you'll soon be familiar with if you're visiting from out of town). It has been a wonderful job, and has given me the opportunity to make lifelong bonds with friends who truly know what it's like. I hope it will continue to be a busy, challenging, and rewarding experience for me until I get my teaching career going. I love camping, hiking, rafting, fishing, and shooting just like Alex. I also enjoy golfing, swimming, attempting to learn piano (still working on Fur Elise three years later) and riding my Harley through curvy backroads shaded by the beautiful trees and greens of the rogue valley. I like to be silly and dance and sing and make people laugh. I'm an Oregon girl through and through! I'm honored to get to know you all as my new family, and I feel blessed that the love between me and Alex has brought us all together. Oh, and also, I'm crazy stupid in love with this awesome guy named Alex! Perhaps you've heard of him?! |
