Tory and Steven first met in Sept 2008. Tory was roommates with Megan and Steven was roommates with Rory. Megan and Rory were dating at that time (now married). When Megan and Tory needed some muscle to help move a freezer into their house Megan called Rory. But of course, Rory was busy playing ‘WOW’ and Steven kindly said he would come over and help. After the freezer made it into the house and Steven left, Tory mentioned to Megan that she thought Steven was cute. Unfortunately at that moment, Steven had a girlfriend. A few weeks later, Megan casually mentioned to Tory that Steven was now single. Megan started bringing Tory over to Rory and Steven’s house and by the end of November they were officially dating. ….As they say “the rest is history!”

Steven graduated that Spring and Tory made it 1 more semester at Frostburg before deciding to move back home and finish at USMH. During this time Tory lived in Hagerstown and Steven in New Market. In January 2011, Tory and Steven moved into their first apartment together in Frederick. Tory graduated that Spring and started graduate school that fall. Over the past few years, Steven had been going through the process to join the Maryland State Police and in November 2011, he was officially in! Steven spent 6 months at the academy, graduating July 2012. Tory and Steven then moved to their second apartment in Frederick and started making plans to purchase a house in Hagerstown. They found the perfect house in the spring on 2013 and started fixing it up moving in, in July 2013. A few months later, Tory started her new job at Target and continued her MBA, graduating in spring 2016.

Over the years, Tory and Steven have enjoyed several amazing trips together – Niagara Falls, Saranac Lake, Deep Creek Lake, St. Thomas and Boston. They enjoy hiking, kayaking, biking and other outdoor activities together as well as visiting breweries, sitting on their deck reading together and trying new foods! And we can’t forget Riley, their 8 year old Shih Tzu. Tory got Riley a few months prior to meeting Steven but the two are best of friends now! Steven insists that Riley is ‘the worst’ but deep down he loves that little fluff ball. Tory and Steven’s longest standing tradition is the punch buggy game, Steven is the reigning champ….at the moment.

After the wedding, Tory and Steven will start saving up to purchase their next home. They wish to have several acres of land to give room for Riley and Jeff (their future Burmese Mountain Dog) to roam. They hope to continue to travel and try new things over the next few years!
