Our story begins a quarter century ago…. Beth and Mike met at a Jewish singles pool party (not making waves, but Mike did make a big splash even if he didnt go in the pool).

During that time of “meet and greet” and  mingling at he party Mike and Beth found themselves talking about this and that, and the funny thing they learned is that Beth literally worked around the corner for several years from where Mike lived in an apartment Rowland Heights.

Her building was seen every day by Mike from his assigned parking spot in the complex.

Surprising due to the few "non asain" neighborhood fast food restaurants locally Mike and Beth never met.

The two went out socially for awhile and drifted apart.

Less than a year later they meet once again through the same Jewish singles group, at a different social event, this time Bowling, we found out that Beth is a better bowler than Mike, but who is keeping score ?

Again the two started seeing each other for a much longer time period, but again started drifting apart in separate directions.

Fast forward 10 years. In that time Mike had been married and divorced and still wanted to keep his roots, traditions, and culture found himself looking for a Passover Seder.

With all the offerings from family, & local synagogues, out of the blue he picks a singles Passover Seder at the Long Beach JCC and whom does he meet?  (Yes… we know you are all glued to your seat in anticipation of whom, so…), yep you guessed it right…… Beth. 

Mike and Beth meet up one more time for the 3rd time, this time (times?, anyone?). They now have 10 years of life catching up on to do.

Taking our time to learn about each other all over again we keep it really casual. One day Beth calls to ask about a new car she is thinking about buying and she knows Mike is a “car guy, gear head, motor head, or whatever endearing name for him and his car craze you want to use).  

Beth has a few brands and models in mind, he knows the technical side and she knows what she likes. We have both grown up and matured in a little over the past decade.

Call it what you want….. but there is a reason why we keep finding each other over and over again. It was written in the stars, Fate, Kismet, Soul Mate, The Third Times a Charm, or just the Power of Love but whatever you call it we found each other once again and are, and have been a loving couple for about 15 years now, engaged for 6 of them.

It’s about time we do this.
