Ohana is an idea in Hawaiian culture. The word ohana means family in the Hawaiian language, but in a much wider sense, to include not only one's close relatives, but also one's cousins, in-laws, friends, race, and other neighbors. The idea is also that family and friends are bound together and everyone must work together and not forget each other. At this special time for us this word is used as a way to honor those who have made an impact and/or continue to make an impact on our relationship. If you are viewing this site you are a part of our ohana. Of course we have a smaller circle of loved ones, those special individuals who would be included in our wedding party or as honored guests, if we were having a traditional wedding.  Since we are eloping, we thought this page woujld be a way to a acknowledge those folks with photos and descriptions but we have found a better way to do that. This new suprise way, hopefully, will avert any drama or hurt feelings by those who may not be included. We are not out to make anyone feel left out or forgotten. We love you all and if you are reading this you are our OHANA.
