Bride

In 2011, Paul and Helen met in Tuscon, singing Bach's B minor mass with the Tucson Chamber Artists. For years, they were colleagues in passing, mainly singing together in Austin. Paul later admitted that he thought Helen was a little too "goody-two-shoes" for him. Little did he know that Helen hides her sassiness well! In 2015, Helen scored a win in a major vocal competition and flew to Austin for a gig the following day. For the next week, Paul repeatedly congratulated her and promised that he would forge a medal to commemorate her victory (she's still waiting on that medal.) This running joke went on for several months and ended with craft cocktails at Whistlers and late-night breakfast at 24 Diner in Austin. Helen thought Paul was totally into her. He still swears he never flirted once ;-) A few months later, Paul was in New York singing with the artist formerly known as Tucson Chamber Artists, True Concord, at Lincoln Center. Helen couldn't understand why Paul hadn't contacted her since he arrived to town and after several post-temple margaritas, texted him and demanded to see him. The following evening, Helen attended his concert, met up with Paul afterwards, and the rest is history!
