It's hard to believe there are ony 101 days left until our wedding date (number derived from an application on our phones that has a checklist of wedding to-do's). The day is growing closer so quickly now, and we are extremely excited for the upcoming day!

The other day we received the invitations in the mail, and we are anxiously awaiting our scheduled day to mail them all off to you! We are still working on the blurb card for them which will provide further information and reminders about rsvp-ing on this website as well as using this site for important updates and the registry itself. We wanted to create an easy location where we could communicate with all of you, have the registry, and the rsvp that way we weren't drowning everyone in 6 different steps to take. Now it's just a click of a button. :D

This past Saturday the groomsmen all met up and got fitted for their tuxes while we picked out their tux styles! We chose a sharp look that will make each and every one of them stand out, while allowing Beau to stand out above the rest! With an emphasis on the more formal dress code, the boys chose an older "James Bond" style of jacket, as the gal working with us described it, with a swooping neckline, and sharp but subtle accents.

One of my biggest struggles as the bride is keeping the dress a secret. I've always been terrible at keeping positive and exciting news to myself, as I always bubble with excitement and spill the news accidentally. It's been all I could do not to tell or show him the dress and photos! Even more difficult is knowing that my dad hasn't even seen it because we are doing a reveal session before the wedding with our photographer. Prior to the wedding we will be taking many of the bridal party photos, and immediate family photos (bride with the bridesmaids and the families, and groom with the groomsmen and the families) to make the photographs between the ceremony and reception go that much quicker so we can rejoin you all!

Be prepared for a huge celebration with music that makes you want to dance the whole night through! We have selected a wide variety of genres to include the tastes of the majority of our guests, but nearly every song is up beat to keep the celebration going. We want the room filled with positive conversation, dancing, kareoke style singing, and just a whole lot of fun, so please come ready to boogy down all night!

Although we have only been engaged since the end of December, it has been an eventful 1 1/2 months! From our busy work schedules to planning the wedding, we never seem to stop! Now that we are in mid-February though, we looked at the to-do list and realized, it is nearly done! From the venue to the dress, it's all figured out! There remains only a few minor details and the florals to be arranged! At first we wanted a break before beginning the planning, but as things fell into place we just couldn't stop planning! Now that things are settling down, it's really setting in... we are getting married!!!!!!!  The crazy part is that now that all of these big details are taken care of . . . we stil have 8 months to go before we get married!! Going into this it seemed like it would take the whole 9 months to plan all of the details and get everything finalized, but with how much we have accomplished in such a short period of time, it doesn't seem possible that our journey has just begun. I guess that is what makes it exciting though, the chance to sit back and enjoy the moments we have to relax before the big day when I'm sure we will both be a mess of stress wondering if everything will fall into place the way we envisioned it.
